Whitney’s Mother Cissy Houston Allegedly Suffering From Dementia

Cissy Houston, mother of the late superstar Whitney Houston, is suffering from dementia, according to reports:

“She’s in the early stages of dementia,” a source told Radar of the Grammy-winning Gospel singer. “She repeats herself a lot and doesn’t remember what she says. She just says she’s getting old.”–Radar

Cissy was reportedly livid over admissions her son Gary made in the recently released documentary, Whitney. Gary has said Whitney was molested by a family member, Dee Dee Warwick, singer Dionne Warwick’s sister. Dee Dee was a gospel singer who died in 2008.
In the film, Gary said he was also molested.
Cissy and Dionne issued a joint statement that labeled the accusations against Dee Dee “unfathomable”:
“We cannot, however, overstate the shock and horror we feel and the difficulty we have believing that my niece Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne’s sister) molested two of my three children,” the statement read. “I spent many years in recording studios (sometimes with Dionne and/or Dee Dee) where I earned my living. I also went ‘on the road’ with my group The Sweet Inspirations to try to help provide a good life for my family BUT my children always came first in my heart and in my life.”
Cissy also apparently found something else unfathomable: long-running rumors that her daughter had a romantic relationship with her butch longtime friend and confidante Robyn Crawford.
Cissy told Oprah in 2013 that she would not have approved of her daughter being gay.

Reportedly, all the family’s old dirty laundry being aired out in public has deeply embarrassed Cissy and added to her health woes.
