Security Guard Shot And Killed Outside Popular Recording Studio Was Budding Actor

A security guard who was shot and killed overnight at a popular recording studio in southeast Atlanta was also a budding actor, according to his Instagram page.

Scott Marthone was securing Loud House Recording Studios when reports say he was shot and killed by an unknown gunman. The 30 year old was reportedly shot at least once in the head.

Police have said Marthone may have been targeted.

Marthone is featured in a new movie still in production called “Heart of a Champion”, a fight movie, in which he played the role of ‘Cedric’.

Marthone was reportedly a fitness enthusiast and bodybuilder as well. Its unclear what motive there is for the killing but WSB-TV’s Audrey Washington spoke with a family member who said: “I just feel like they killed him for no reason. Like how do you kill someone for doing their job?”

Marthone was reportedly hired due to the studio staff’s safety concerns about the general area around the studio, where gun crimes and robberies have been known to occur.

Loud House Studios has recorded music from an increasing number of Hip Hop names, including Future, Young Thug, and a number of up-and-coming local rappers as well.

The studio is located blocks away from where Brick Squad 1017 rapper Slim Dunkin was killed in 2011.

A fellow rapper, Young Vito, was charged with Slim’s murder but was later acquitted on a murder allegation but sentenced to 25 years on an unrelated charge.
