Migos’ Quavo and Gucci Mane Tie At ASCAP Music Awards

Gucci Mane and Quavo of The Migos both earned props for Songwriter of the Year at the 31st annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards, which went down last night at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles.

Songwriter of the Year was a tie between Gucci Mane (“Black Beatles,” (Rae Sremmurd ft. Gucci Mane; “Both,” Gucci Mane ft. Drake, etc.) and Quavo (“Bad and Boujee,” Migos ft. Lil Uzi Vert; “Good Drank,” 2 Chainz x Gucci Mane x Quavo, etc).

Migos was in the house to accept the award.

ASCAP, one of the world’s foremost performing rights organizations, honored songwriters and publishers of the most performed songs of last year in its vast repertoire.

Other legendary Atlanta acts also were shown love by the organization recently:

Last week, ASCAP inducted Atlanta rapper and producer Jermaine Dupri into its Songwriters Hall Of Fame. He presented the award to members of the group Xscape, who recorded on Dupri’s So So Def label in the 1990s.
