Friday The 13th Considered Bad Luck Because of The Last Supper?

Friday The 13th is considered unlucky by a lot of people. Back in the 1980s, Hollywood capitalized on the myth, and came up with a series of slasher horror films that bore the date–and actually made it an even more ominous day.

Over time, a number of events that occurred on Friday The 13th helped make the day a dreaded one but none hold as much significance as The Last Supper.

According to biblical tradition, 12 guests sat down with The Lord on the day before his crucifixion–a Friday.

Jesus Himself made 13.

Because of this, some Christians believe having 13 people at a dinner table is bad luck–and that whomever gets up first is gonna be the first in the group to die.

So, for some, Friday and 13 together equal bad luck or even death.

There you have it.
