Azealia Banks Asks For Crowdfunding To Sue Actor She Says Spit On Her

Drama queen rapper Azealia Banks is hoping to raise some crowdfunding coins so she can afford to sue actor Russell Crowe, who Banks says spit on her, choked her, called her mean names, including the N-word and carried her out of a hotel room in 2016.

A police report was filed after Banks says Crowe refused to apologize for the incident.

But when cops and prosecutors investigated, they came to the conclusion that Banks was the trouble starter because they determined that Crowe acted justifiably since Banks was allegedly acting a damn fool and Crowe was placed at risk by “the imminent violence threatened by Banks.”

According to reports, rapper/actor RZA, who regretted bringing Banks to the party, said she was “obnoxious,” threatened other guests and tried to attack someone with a champagne glass “for no logical reason.”

The Los Angeles D.A.’s Office said Crowe’s alleged spitting was “incidental” to the actor preventing violence from Banks, and that the spit only touched her “gloved hand”.

No one who attended the party corroborated her version of things.

Banks claims she suffered emotional damage from the incident that partygoers otherwise say she brought on herself:

“Russell Crowe spit on me at a party in 2016 and denied it, had a group of people gaslight me causing irreparable damage to my acting career and my reputation as well as loads of emotional damage,” Banks, 27, claims on the GoFundMe page.

“This isn’t about a big pay day for me, it’s about letting the world know that black women are victims to the same sort of disgusting violence men in Hollywood deal out to women and it’s important to send a message that black women also deserve justice and will get justice in these situations,” she added.

Banks has beefed with a number of celebrities over her mostly unsuccessful years in the business.

Embarrassingly, Remy Ma last year exposed text messages allegedly sent from Banks to fellow rapper Remy Ma that included Banks saying she, at age 26, badly needed a labiaplasty–but couldn’t afford it.

Banks has also caught flak for using homophobic terms.

She has an upcoming album entitled Fantasea II: The Second Wave, but no release date has been set.

Meanwhile, her debut album, Broke with Expensive Taste, peaked at #3 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop charts in 2014, but quickly dropped to #98, and then fell completely off the charts.

The album has to date sold about 31,000 copies.

Banks has set a crowdfunding goal of $100,000 to sue Crowe.

Thus far, she’s barely cracked $2,000.
