17 Year Old Charged With Murder After Woman Dies From Gunshot Wounds at Makeshift Nightclub

A 17 year old boy is facing murder charges after a 21 year old woman died from injuries she suffered when an event she attended at a makeshift nightclub in Ashburn, Georgia turned violent and deadly.

Jontavious Coley, of Cordele, faces adult charges in relation to the Saturday shooting that sent 7 people to the hospital–and ultimately one of them to the morgue.

An event promoted as a “County Vs. County” shindig ended up drawing rival gangs to Studio 2.0, which used to be a large hay barn. Coley was identified as being one of the gunmen who allegedly fired at club patrons who were trying to flee the club.

Police told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that multiple shooters fired rounds.

Law enforcement officials have said the shootings are gang related.

Studio 2.0’s owners could face lawsuits and criminal charges: The club, which resembles the nightclub called Harpo’s Place in The Color Purple, was allegedly selling alcohol without a license–and also allegedly, to minors as well.
